However, if the use of these wallpapers is selective and strategic, and implemented in a way that complements (rather than distracts from) the inherent structure of the brain project, I'm optimistic that dynamic wallpapers may prove to be a very useful feature, especially if the brain owner provides a key that explains the correlation between the various wallpapers and the corresponding brain areas.Three new wallpapers showed up in iOS 14.0, each with dark and light versions, while iOS 14.2 added eight more. That said, I'm not all sure that flashy/busy and rapidly changing wallpapers would be at all helpful for users who already have a tendency to get confused by the brain interface. In contrast, I suspect the real benefit may be in shared brain projects (either web client or desktop) to provide additional visual context / cues to help users recognize where they are located inside large brain projects. In the meantime, for personal/desktop use, this feature is ready-to-go as is, and well worth I indicated above, I don't feel any immediate need to set up dynamic wallpapers for my own personal use, although I can imagine that changing at some point in the future when I have more time to explore this feature. I figured I'd wait until this feature has been integrated into the web client (since my primary use case would be in shared projects), and then I'll see what I can come up with. That said, I've not begun using this feature yet, since I'm obsessively picky about link (color) aesthetics, and it will take me considerable time to find different wallpapers that will ALL work with the same link colors.
In the meantime, the desktop functionality is (for me) surprisingly (delightfully) smooth, and not nearly as distracting as I imagined it might be. It is important, however, to be aware this functionality is not (yet) integrated in the web client, but it will be coming. > Additional colors for mini-brains, business use cases, humor, etc.
